Custom system builds

$12k/mo
Avg. 1-2 months

You want it handled.

We'll meet weekly while I design and build the system for you. You'll have it in your hands early, and we'll keep iterating as your team uses it.

20% off for nonprofits and educational institutions

Dan was a calming, focused presence from day one. He took a really complicated deal process and turned it into a system our partners actually find easy to use. It does more for us than I ever expected. And I appreciate that he ‘taught me to fish’ so I can make changes going forward.

Will it pay for itself?

Whether you build your operating system yourself, have an employee do it, or hire me, it's going to cost you something. There's the cost to build it, the cost to maintain it, and what you gain back from running more efficiently.

I built an ROI calculator to help you decide whether it makes more sense to build it in-house or work with me.

What's different about working with me

Me, every week

Most agencies assign you an account manager or a junior consultant. We'll work directly together, from the first call until your system is live.

An engagement built to end

I'm not trying to keep you on a retainer for months or years. I'd rather get you something you're thrilled with quickly, and have you recommend me to a colleague.

A system you own outright

Teaching you to run and change it yourself is part of the work, so you're not paying a consultant when your process changes.

We fix the process first

Before we build anything, I'll dig into how you operate today and find what to improve. Automating a bad process just gets you a faster bad process.

A direct line to Zite

I was an early employee at Zite and helped shape what the platform became. As a preferred gold partner, I have a direct line to the team building it.

An advisor, not an order taker

Most agencies build what you tell them to. I've built these systems for hundreds of businesses, so I'll bring fresh insights and recommendations.

Dan LeemanZite Certified Gold Partner

Hi, I'm Dan Leeman.

I've built automated systems for hundreds of businesses and nonprofits. I previously founded Automation Helpers, one of the largest automation agencies in the world.

I've also led automation and digital transformation projects at Zoom and SugarCRM, with customers like Ancestry, Instacart, and IBM.

Now I run Featureful as a boutique agency, taking on a select handful of clients so you work with me directly, not a junior team.

If this sounds like a good fit, I'd love to work with you.

Questions

What's the difference between coaching and a custom build?

With coaching, you build your own system and I guide you through weekly sessions. With a custom build, we meet weekly while I design and build it for you.

How long does it take?

Coaching averages 2 to 3 months, and custom builds average 1 to 2 months. It depends on how custom your processes are and how much your processes need to be cleaned up first.

You can mix and match services. For example, we might work on a custom build for a month, then follow it up with a month or two of coaching.

What software do you build on?

We'll take a look at your existing software to determine what we can replace vs. what we should connect to. For the core system, I typically recommend Zite, which you can think of as one home for the apps and database we build. If you have questions about the tech stack, we can discuss further on a consultation call.

Do you offer a nonprofit discount?

Yes! I offer a 20% discount on services to nonprofits and educational institutions. While I often discuss 'business' operating systems, the same can be applied to nonprofits, many of whom are my best clients.

Who isn't a good fit?

If you're pre-revenue, or you need one workflow fixed rather than a whole system built, this isn't the right fit. I'm also a small shop, so I don't respond to RFPs or formal bids.

Rather do it yourself?

I teach all of this for free, on my YouTube channel and in The Business Operating System.
